The Studio is looking sharp for the arrival of U of Ottawa 4th year med school students tomorrow for their stage in wilderness medicine.
This was our amazing “Home away from Home” while training in Ottawa! Complete with outdoor sauna and yoga studio/classroom, our hosts cieletbois were fabulous every step of the way! We highly recommend this amazing venue for any team building event! Thank you for everything!

Fait à la main par Nootka @nootkasaunas en cèdre rouge de l’Ouest — et ça sent tellement bon.
Il est électrique, donc vous n’avez qu’à l’allumer, et il chauffe complètement en 15 minutes.
Ajoutez de l’eau sur les pierres pour ajuster la vapeur.
Peut accueillir confortablement 6 personnes… on a hâte que les groupes en profitent pendant leur séjour!

It’s electric, so you can just turn it on and it gets to full heat in 15 minutes.
Then pour water on the rocks to add steam to your liking!
Seats 6 comfortably…we’re excited for groups to enjoy this on their stays.

Here’s the newest crew of Assistant Instructors — they just wrapped up a big week of intensive instructor training.
These healthcare and outdoor professionals from across the US and Canada can now start assistant instructing on Wilderness Medical Associates @wildmed courses.
It takes most instructors at least 1 year of teaching on various courses with different lead instructors, before they ‘upgrade’ to Lead Instructor status.
This apprenticeship model takes time — but it pays off as we learn so much from each other!
As many of you have experienced as learners on your Wilderness First Responder and Wilderness First Aid courses — teaching these programs involves pulling together a lot of pieces. It’s both challenging and highly rewarding work 🙂
